Johann Peter Murmann

Johann Peter Murmann is Chair and Professor of Strategic Management at the University of St. Gallen. He received a BA in Philosophy with Honors from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master’s and PhD degree with distinction in Management and Organizations (1998) from Columbia University. Professor Murmann mainly focuses his award-winning research activities on systematic examination of the ways companies gain or lose competitive advantage over long periods of time. He now researches with his team how companies can improve their forecasts.

Leon Bamesreiter

Léon Alex Bamesreiter completed his BA at DHBW Heidenheim as a dual degree with Commerzbank AG, where he learned about Banking fundamentals early on. After that he graduated with a MSc in Finance from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and an MBA from University of Texas at Austin – McCombs School of Business. Léon focusses his research activities on forecasting in a capital markets context. His areas of interest include equity research analysts and individual investors.

Noel Kretz

Noel Kretz is PhD student at the Institute of Strategy & Management at the University of St. Gallen. He graduated first in his class with a Master’s degree from the University of Hohenheim. During his studies, he gained international work experience at Porsche, ranging from service operations to electrification strategy. He then joined the consultancy Strategy&, where he advised executives across industries (e.g. automotive, semiconductor, aerospace) on corporate strategy and strategic initiatives. His current research focuses on the strategic foresight of individuals and organizations.
